Good bye Fuerteventura

Six weeks of Fuerteventura are over ... The island is absolutely a home for me. There is nothing that I do not like about this island and I just feel great there. Not at least because of the nice people, but also because of the great waves, the clean water and the wonderful weather.

At Fuerte I found my "Surfbuddy" - Michelle. Having a surfbuddy is really important. It's just more fun to go surfing together and you feel safer in the water. A surfbuddy is not anyone; it is - in this case - a friend that you can rely on in the water, who you can trust, who checks the forecast and the waves together with you every day, who shares the same passion for surfing, who is straightforward, who - like me - puts the focus on surfing in the water and does not want to gossip (that's what we do even more out of the water;)), who is just awesome. Thank you, Michelle!

At Fuerte, I also found a real home - in "la cometa" - there is always a bed for me. Thanks Ale, Manu and Elena !!

Nonetheless, in the last few weeks, I have felt the urge to travel on again, although it was hard to leave the island. I could stay forever at Fuerte (and I know I will be back someday), but there are so many other nice places to discover in the world. I forced myself to leave and that was a good decision.
Bye Bye Fuerteventura!
